Message So Kaz and I installed the JDM this past weekend and bolted up the tranny. I still had to do all the odds and ends like re installing the cooling system, exhaust, etc., which I finished tonight. The moment of truth was upon me, lets try and fire this bitch up.......

First try I get a couple of weak cranks and notice a feul leak. Second try after turning a couple of screws she starts right up. WOOHOO!!! Of course shes was smokin like a chimney and idling a little high, but running pretty good considering the engine probably hasnt run in a very long time.

There was some noise in the top end, as expected, but I am more concerned about the lack of oil pressure. I looked in through the filler hole and didnt see too much oil coming off the cam. The oil pan has been damaged on the very bottom most likely due to removal/shipping, and I am woried that the oil pickup is damaged and maybe not circuilating as it should. Anyone know the clearance between pan and the pickup?

Anyways Im stoked, but unfortunately I cant drive it until the Koyo comes in , and I confirm good oil flow. I am working on gettig some pics posted. Special thanks to Kaz and Coz, Kaz for helping with the swap, and to Coz for being Johnny on the spot with the OEM parts.
